Viewing and Sorting OverDrive Media in OverDrive Media Console > Sort Media By

Use toolbar option 'Sort', or select View > Sort media by from the menu, to sort the titles in the currently selected folder. In addition to specifying the criteria by which you want titles arranged, you can also put titles in ascending or descending order by clicking a 'Sort media by' option a second time.

'Sort media by' options include:

• Title (arranges titles alphabetically by title)
  Click on a folder in the Media Library, and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Title to order the titles in the selected folder alphabetically by title.
  
  
• Creator 1 (arranges titles alphabetically by the primary creator)
  Click on a folder in the Media Library, and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Creator 1 to order the titles in the selected folder alphabetically by primary creator.
  
  
• Creator 2 (arranges titles alphabetically by the secondary creator)
  Click on a folder in the Media Library, and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Creator 2 to order the titles in the selected folder alphabetically by secondary creator.
  
  
• Format (arranges titles alphabetically by format)
  Click on a folder in the Media Library, and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Format to order the titles in the selected folder alphabetically by format.
  
  
• Date Acquired (arranges titles by date added to Media Library)
  Click on a folder in the Media Library, and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Date Acquired to order the titles in the selected folder by the date on which they were added to the Media Library.
  
  
• Date Last Played (arranges titles by date last used)
  Click on a folder in the Media Library, and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Date Last Played to order the titles in the selected folder by date last used.
  
  
• Date Expires (arranges titles by expiration date [when applicable])
  If you have titles that will expire in the Media Library, click on a folder and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Date Expires to order the titles in the selected folder by expiration date.
  
  
• Duration (arranges titles by duration)
  Click on a folder in the Media Library, and use toolbar option View > Sort media by > Duration to order the titles in the selected folder by duration.
